Kursbeskrivning: The Burgsvik International Stone Festival starts on August 16

* Workshop fee is 340€ for two weeks. Accommodation is not included.

The leader of the Festival is Sculptor Vincent Williams.
In 2010 Global Stone Workshop® organises one workshop in Gotland, a beautiful island in the Baltic Sea, renown for its pink/grey and green/grey limestone with clearly visible fossils.

Workshop participants work directly in a small quarry inside a natural preserve in the southern part of the island. It is a magical place, on an elevation, with the sea on three sides and the sky "covering" everything and everyone.

The workshop includes a workspace with sculpting box, compressed air/power hook-up as well as small blocks of limestone. Tools are available for EU 76/week.

The workshops arranged by Global Stone Workshop® are open to artists, craftsmen, architects, photographers and designers. Previous experience in stone sculpting is not required, but participants must be able to work on their own.

Global Stone Workshop®

Lodging is in a hostel by the seashore, 3 km from the quarry, with a large kitchen and two beautiful common living rooms. Single room EU 210/week, double room EU 315/week.
